Current Favorite Brow Products!

Favorite Brow Products
Hey guys! April and May have been pretty inconsistent for my blog-I have been zoning in at work, mom stuff-baby boy just turned 3 so we had a little party for him, and…who really knows?! Life.

But back to the topic- brows. I didn’t always do my brows as part of my makeup routine unless it was for special events, but now I can’t imagine NOT doing them! Brows have become part of my daily routine. I’ve mainly used pencils in the past but have wanted to try different forms of brow products (pomade, brow gel/tint, powders…I love to play after all!) and I wanted to share current brow products that I’ve been enjoying so far and a little about how I use each. This post will focus on the colored brow products I use most.

NYX Pro Foundation Mixer (White)

NYX Pro Foundation Mixer in White
NYX Pro Foundation Mixer in White

Hey everyone! So l recently decided that some of my foundations were just a tad too warm for this time of year- not by much, but could be a little lighter. I’m no stranger to mixing foundations together to get to the shade I need, even if they’re different brands. But I usually do this in the summer when I need it darker and not the other way around. Instead of buying a lighter foundation this time, I wanted to try drops or mixers that would adjust my foundation. This seemed like more of a straight shot and less guesswork, the idea of using something more concentrated that would work with most liquids.

Liebster Award Part 2!

Liebster Award

Hey everyone! I had done the Liebster Award tag last September and recently was tagged again by three awesome bloggers, Alexandra, Jonia, and Enyiie– Thanks so much ladies! I’m doing it again because heck, nothing wrong with an update. Plus their questions were too good so I couldn’t pass them up (I did all 3 sets).

I’m going to break some rules here and instead of tagging people this time around (or who knows, maybe I will), I’m going to invite anyone who hasn’t gotten a chance to do this to do it. Or even if you already did the Liebster and feel like doing an update, go for it! I really love reading facts about anyone so definitely let me know if you do this tag!

February-April Empties!

February-April Empties!
February-April Empties!
Hey everyone! Here are my empties from February-April. Since I used up one thing in February and lately felt like these monthly empties posts were coming up way too soon, I decided to space this one out and let all of my empties pile up. I’ve been so ready to throw out my empties build-up in the corner of my room, so that was motivation to finally do this post and toss em! So…let’s get to it!

Mini Life Update: My Short Break, Why I Blog, Unicorn Frappucinos.

Hey Guys! I haven’t published a post in 10 11 days now which for me is a while. Give or take, I try to post once a week and if I’m really feelin’ it, twice a week. So I guess it hasn’t been been that long, but longer than usual for me. After getting some time away, I felt like doing a non-beauty post and just say what’s up.

Does It Work: Johnson’s Baby Wash for the Face?

Johnson's baby head-to-toe wash
Johnson’s baby head-to-toe wash
Hey Everyone! Here I am today with another Does it Work hack report! I recently tried fixing broken makeup with rubbing alcohol, and now I want to share my experience using baby wash as as face wash- something I’ve been seeing around and was curious, albeit a bit uncertain. I don’t know about you, but any products meant for the body just seems off limits for the face. I have used Dove bar soap on my face at one point, but it wasn’t anything amazing and stopped there.

Now I think people actually use actual baby shampoo as a face wash as well which I haven’t really tried, so keep in mind that I used the head-to-toe wash and not their actual baby shampoo so I can’t make any claims on that.

Anyway, people have been using Johnson’s Head-to-Toe baby wash as a facial cleanser, claim it works really well and is supposed to be great for sensitive skin. I guess it would make sense-if it’s gentle enough to use on a baby’s sensitive skin, what harm could it do to an adult? Some have even said it changed their skin drastically. Again, stuff I was definitely skeptical about and I needed to have my own proof. Let’s get into some info!

On My Radar: Face Products!

Face products on my radar
Face Products On My Radar!
Hey everyone and happy April! I’m getting over a terrible cold I had for a week (bleh! What a way to finish out winter!) but I’m happy to say I’m almost back to my normal self.

My mind is a total sponge right now and I’m open to so many new (and not so new) products out there! I’m constantly looking at makeup and skincare on social media so this isn’t necessarily a conclusive list but rather a few things I’m definitely interested in trying at some point. Mostly face products this time around, but stuff I know I’d probably reach for regularly (if I end up liking them!).

I’m not one to impulse buy but if something is supposed to be good and I’m in that open kinda mood, who knows what I’ll end up with! I’m definitely curious to see if these live up to the hype. While there are more products and brands I’d love to try, these face products are at the top of my list at the moment! So here they are in no particular order:

Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Lustrous Sapphire

Now and again I like to add a touch of bold color to my lids via eyeliner or a hint of shadow. I think it breaks up the monotony of my typical browns, blacks or neutral liners and I just love playing around with different colors!

Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Pro Palette

Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Palette review
Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Palette

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be reviewing the Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Pro Palette (geez what a mouthful)! I’m assuming you know what contouring is but just in case-contouring is giving your face more dimension by receding areas with a darker shade (under cheekbones, under jaw etc.) while highlighting other parts of your face (cheekbones, bridge of nose etc.) with a lighter powder, concealer, or highlighter. There are different products you can use for this of course, but today is all about this palette!

This Time Next Year Tag and 2017 Goal Checkup

This Time Next Year Tag and 2017 Goal Checkup
This Time Next Year Tag and 2017 Goal Checkup
Welcome back! I was recently tagged to do the “This Time Next Year” post by one of my blogging pals, Nicky Ashleigh. And since March seems like a good time to revisit the goals I set for myself back in January, I thought why not combine the two? It’s been a while since I’ve done a tag post but I enjoy them! I’m not big on setting lots of crazy goals for myself but I think it’s healthy to think of things you want to change or do more (or less) of once in a while! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about goals lately, so this couldn’t have come at a better time.
