Hey everyone! So l recently decided that some of my foundations were just a tad too warm for this time of year- not by much, but could be a little lighter. I’m no stranger to mixing foundations together to get to the shade I need, even if they’re different brands. But I usually do this in the summer when I need it darker and not the other way around. Instead of buying a lighter foundation this time, I wanted to try drops or mixers that would adjust my foundation. This seemed like more of a straight shot and less guesswork, the idea of using something more concentrated that would work with most liquids.
Now and again I like to add a touch of bold color to my lids via eyeliner or a hint of shadow. I think it breaks up the monotony of my typical browns, blacks or neutral liners and I just love playing around with different colors!

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be reviewing the Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights & Contour Pro Palette (geez what a mouthful)! I’m assuming you know what contouring is but just in case-contouring is giving your face more dimension by receding areas with a darker shade (under cheekbones, under jaw etc.) while highlighting other parts of your face (cheekbones, bridge of nose etc.) with a lighter powder, concealer, or highlighter. There are different products you can use for this of course, but today is all about this palette!

Hey there, Beauts! Happy MARCH! We (kinda) made it through winter and spring is sounding really good right now! Good thing it’s right around the corner.
In today’s post I want to share with you the neutral/nude palettes I ended up getting towards the end of last year. If you’ve been following my blog, you may remember that a few months ago I was trying to decide between a couple. I was looking to get some new palettes because I had a meh palette that was way old and I was over it basically, and I really didn’t have many others unless you count quads or duos. All the pretty new palettes were calling my name.

Greetings Beauts! Hope you are doing well! Love it or hate it, (I personally love it), Valentine’s Day is around the corner so I felt a little compelled to review this kinda lip color for the occasion! Normally I think of pink or red lips for Valentine’s day, but purple-y colors may also be up your alley. If you’re a little scared of purple, don’t be. You may find this one to be wearable.
I’ve purchased a few thing from E.L.F. recently. I reviewed some of their matte lip color lipsticks here, and today I’ll be reviewing the E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick, $3.00, in the shade Wine Tour. E.L.F. is such an affordable brand that has some good quality products-always nice to find cheap thrills like that! So here goes my thoughts on this lipstick!

Greetings again, Beauts! Hope your December is treating you well. So far this month’s been a little bumpy in terms of some unexpected family circumstances (everyone’s doing ok), so between that and trying to prepare for the holidays it’s been a little bit of a roller coaster! Somehow I still have a bit of Christmas cheer in me and found a moment to do some blogging, even with the challenges.
I’ve done some E.L.F. hauling lately and part of my haul included a few of their matte lip colors. I’ve been in a very red-lips kinda mood (appropriate for this time of year I guess!) and wanted to expand my red lipstick stash a bit. I usually wear red for special occasions though I’m starting to wear it more often to work or out in general. I decided E.L.F. was an inexpensive way to go a little nuts! I got these through their website and was able to get them at half off during one of their big holidays sales, bringing them to $1.50 a piece! Not bad at all!
According to the package, it is “Smooth, pigment-rich color” that “glides on effortlessly and provides long lasting matte color.” It also states “enriched Vitamin A, C, & E formula helps moisturize and hydrate lips.”
I bought three different red shades in this line: Wine, Cranberry, and Rich Red. Here are my thoughts on these shades in particular and the lip product overall!

Greetings all! Hope you are all doing well! I’ve been on a hunt for different makeup items lately like a new higher-end foundation and more recently a pretty neutral eyeshadow palette or two.
I’ve tried what seems like way too many (underwhelming) foundations in a small amount of time, but always had this one in mind-I saw an ad in InStyle for this Maybelline powder called Superstay Better Skin that caught my eye. I decided now was a good time to check it out, plus I also found a coupon for it (more incentive)!
Another month of empties down (or, in my case, 2 months)! Pretty much all of these empties are body/hair products (they tend to go much faster than my makeup), and one face product. Here they all are:

Welcome back, all! I hope your October is going well! My fall so far seems to be going quickly, but then again every season seems to with each passing year!
So recently I had the urge to explore different foundations to see if anything would be splurge-worthy or would significantly change my foundation game. Currently for liquids I’ve been using Garnier BB cream when I’m feeling more casual, and when I want to get more heavy-duty I’ll use L’Oreal Infallible which I sometimes mix with it a little Revlon ColorStay when I’m more tan and maybe for some extra oil control (don’t ask why I mix two different brands together, it just seems to work!). I’ve been pretty happy with L’Oreal foundation- it does the job and stays pretty fresh on my skin even after a long day, so I’m not exactly looking to replace anything. But ya know, sometimes you want to see what else is out there!

Now that we are totally into the fall season and I have succumbed with reckless abandon, I had to make sure all my autumn products were replenished and good to go. I am a huuuuge scent person so this is a big deal to me. Since I was running low on fall-scented hand soap (the horror!) and used up of my favorite Ulta “fall” body wash (which I had for embarrassingly way too long and is now no longer sold), a trip to Bath & Body Works was definitely in order.
I don’t know what it is about that store that makes me keep coming back. Actually I know exactly what keeps me coming back- nostalgia, cute labels, fun scents, familiarity, convenience, and all the coupons and deals don’t hurt either. Cheap but addictive little indulgences. What can ya do. Most of their body scents don’t linger for that long unless you maybe layer the fragrance, but I don’t expect it to either. I just enjoy it more for the momentary treat. I like a little variety, so you’ll see some dessert scents along with the spicy/fruity/nature variety. Anyway, Here’s what I picked up for the season!
Body Wash. Of all the fall shower gels they had, these two were my favorite. I won’t get into too much description since their names (Salted Caramel Pumpkin and Pumpkin Apple Cider) are pretty much self-explanatory. They smell so delicious and right on. I like cider, pumpkin, and caramel so these combinations for me are pretty much bomb. I wish these came as a shower cream too but I’m happy with these.
