Hey Guys! It’s been about a month since my last post, just couldn’t force myself to blog (another story altogether), but I’m back yet again and I’ve rounded up my favorites from February! Read on to learn what made my February list!
This first product I’m talking to you about is a soap I received at a bridal shower. This is the Lemon Verbena Soap, pictured on left, from Thankful Sage Farm School based in PA. I use bar soap a bit but this one is actually moisturizing unlike so many I’ve used. It has little cranberry seeds too which adds a nice texture. I was definitely impressed and surprised at how nice this soap was. I like the idea of supporting businesses like this and obviously if I like the products that’s even better. Definitely keeping this shop in mind for the future!
Next is this Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Original Shea, part of my November Beauty Haul. I really like how this smells and use it a few times a week in the shower. I never know with scrubs if they’re really exfoliating my skin or not but it seems to make my skin a little softer and adds to the whole shower experience. I can see myself repurchasing this even in different scents, just wish it didn’t run out as quickly!
Too Faced Peach Perfect Powder. This powder is awesome at controlling oil. Used in conjunction with Primed and Peachy primer, my skin is pretty much shine free most of the day. Even alone it works pretty great. My skin looks smoother and imperfections more blurred out. I haven’t had really oily skin this winter but my nose can get a little shiny mid day and I’ll need to blot or do some touching up, but not with this. And side note-this smells like Quaker Oats peach oatmeal. Doesn’t bother me at all and it doesn’t linger, but something to keep in mind.
Too Faced Primed and Peachy Primer. I really like how this primer feels on my face. I’m not into primers that are just glorified moisturizers, but this has a little more tackiness and stays put pretty well and makes a nice canvas for makeup. I have issues with my pores and I find this blurs them out a bit. It’s tinted- people say there’s a cooling sensation but I didn’t really feel that too much. I don’t want to give a full review since I’ll probably do that at a later time, but I’ve enjoyed using it. These products are winners (at least for oilier skin) and glad I splurged.
Bright/non-nude lipsticks. I love my nude lippies but I was in the mood to turn it up a little more. I’ve been enjoying reds and brighter pinks on my lips. My favorite red is MAC Viva Glam I. Other shades I’ve been wearing are Clinique’s Black Honey, NYX Sweet Pink, and Maybelline Mesmerizing Magenta.
OGX Nourishing Coconut Oil Mist. I don’t know if this spray in an of itself is amazing, but I’ve been so so lazy when it comes to putting lotion on my body. Lotion just takes longer to rub in and absorb and I haven’t been in the mood. This spray is so much quicker to use-takes two seconds to spray and rub in. And if you like the smell of summer and coconuts, then this is a good choice. Works for me!
Sigma Powder Blush in Born To. Ok, this was an old sample I had sitting around and it does not look like it’s sold any longer. That being said, this is a dusty pink shade (more blue-toned) that I have been loving. It’s pigmented and shows up so well on me- I don’t know if it’s just because it’s a sample and they apply differently than an actual packaged blush, but I was impressed. I don’t have anything like it. Moral of this story is that I need to find a shade like it, or maybe try out more Sigma blushes if they actually even make blush anymore!
So that wraps up my February Favorites! Any lip colors, blushes or other beauty products you’ve been into lately?
