Welcome back, folks! So at the moment I’m trying to decide if I want to get a new neutral shadow palette and also wanted to share my thoughts on which ones I’ve been eyeing! I’m definitely going back and forth about getting one- I usually talk myself out of it because a lot of the shadows in them are similar to shades I own, and I guess I’m trying to use what I have and blah blah blah.
But let’s be real-I’m kinda bored and want to play around a bit! And with palettes, having a variety right in the palm of your hand is so, uh, handy, and I find that they’re fun to look at and pick colors from when I don’t feel like going through all the singles. Even if I don’t end up getting a new one, my brain was on palette overload and I needed to sort it out and hear what you think! Anyway, here are some I’m considering:
Urban Decay Naked Palette, $54.00. I know this one’s been on the market forever and many of you probably already own it or one of its variants, but was this not the palette that launched a thousand dupes?! And I’m sure for great reason! I love UD shadows and I’m pretty sure I’d get great use out of it….
Morphe 35OS Nature Glow Palette, $22.99. These are at a really good price point and I always hear about the pigmentation of these shadows. I love my Morphe brushes so I’m not surprised these are up there on the quality scale. Only thing is that a lot of the shades in each palette look super similar and there are a lot of them! Options are great though and it’s pretty inexpensive anyway, just not sure if I need THAT many in a palette? But it could be fun to play with all of them and mix if needed.
Lorac Pro Palette, $44.00. I like the shades in this one- they look very wearable and professional. I hear they’re pretty pigmented and by the looks of it, seems to be a mix of matte and shimmery shades which is great. Hmmm…
Too Faced Chocolate Bar, $49.00. Well, it smells like chocolate and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this one- that it blends really well and has great pigmentation. And I’d easily wear all of those colors! Very interested!
Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette, $45.00. Again, love these pretty shades and the mix of matte and shimmer finishes. I like how the darker ones are on the brown side this time, aka more wearable for work perhaps?
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, $42.00. These look stunning and very natural, and I like the different finishes included. I could see myself falling in love with this.
Who knows, I may end up getting none, one, or all (lol ok, maaaaybe 2 at most), but I’d love to hear if you own any of these or just general thoughts! What palettes have you tried that you really love?!
