July 2016 Empties!

July 2016 Empties
July 2016 Empties

So now that July is over and Back-to-School FUN is on the horizon (I may or may not mean that sarcastically!), I’m sharing the beauty products I’ve gotten around to finishing this past month along with reviews on each and whether or not I plan on repurchasing! Only four (which is a lot for me to use up in one month!), but here they are:

1.Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Conditioner

I normally use products for color-treated hair but when some time has passed and it’s fading out anyway, I’ll switch over to “regular” shampoo and conditioner. I tried the rosemary and mint from this same line and really liked it, so I figured this would be just as good. This conditioner isn’t bad for the price (around $3.00 for the regular size),  it is somewhat heavily scented and perfume-y. I don’t notice it as much in the shower, though. I may repurchase from this line again, but want to try different scents and brands just out of curiousity. I really like the shampoo, which is almost used up. If you know of any great shampoos for dry, color-treated hair, please let me know!!

2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser

This is probably my third or fourth one I’ve finished. I’ve been pretty happy with this concealer and have no reason to find anything else right now. I don’t have seriously dark circles, but this does a good enough job of covering what I need though it’s pretty pigmented so I’m sure it can be built up for darker circles. It’s also creamy and easy to blend, not thick or cakey. NO lingering, powerful scent- always a plus, and the packaging isn’t too bad. I once had a fluke container that cracked but haven’t had issues with others since. I like how you have to click to get product out (for the most part, that equates to less waste) and the round sponge head for application.  Haven’t had any issues with under-eye creasing but I normally don’t anyway. I do use a setting powder over it. I will definitely continue to repurchase!

3.Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm

I know this is a cult product and at one point it was a holy grail lip balm for me (along with the regular Rosebud Salve), but I think my tastes are changing. Either that or I’ve had it for too long and need a break! It applies smoothly, isn’t sticky, has a slight tingle. I think it’s just a matter of preference- I like my lip balms to be a little more tacky, and if not tacky more on the denser side, otherwise products like this make my lips feel uncomfortable and more dry in the long run! Not repurchasing-at least for a while.

4.Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner

This is a sample I received from a friend. This mask is supposed to extract blackheads, but I haven’t noticed that. I will say it dries comfortably and is pretty easy to remove.  Some masks really tighten your skin up as they dry but if you hate that feeling you might like this a lot.  My skin felt so soft afterwards and into the next day, so that was really nice. It’s $47.oo for 1 oz. which is a lot. I liked it, but not for that much! So for that reason, not repurchasing.

So those are my used up products for the month of July!

What products have you used up last month?  Any winners?
